The 1st TEDxArta was a success — A new chapter of creativity, inspiration, and ideas has begun in Arta
Arta now has its own stage for ideas.The first TEDxArta was a great success, leaving behind images, moments, faces, and stories that capture the power of inspiration, collaboration, and a creative community.
The event took place on May 23, 2026, at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina, on the Arta University Campus, bringing the global TEDx institution to the city for the first time. An initiative born from members of the local community, with the aim of highlighting ideas worth spreading, uniting diverse voices, and creating a space for open dialogue, inspiration, and meaningful connection.
The TEDxArta stage hosted speakers with unique backgrounds, who shared experiences, thoughts, and ideas that resonated with the audience and opened up new avenues for reflection. At the same time, the day was complemented by activities, workshops, booths, and parallel experiences, creating a comprehensive event with a strong cultural, educational, and social character.
Of particular importance was the participation of the youth and student community, associations, volunteers, partners, and supporters, who played a decisive role in making the first TEDxArta a reality. More than 40 volunteers were at the heart of the event, offering their time, energy, smiles, and invaluable assistance at every stage of preparation and execution.

The TEDxArta Organizing Committee extends its warmest thanks to everyone who supported this first endeavor: the speakers, the volunteers, the associations, the sponsors, the partners, the University of Ioannina, as well as every person who was involved in the event and contributed in their own way to its success.
TEDxArta was not just an event. It was the beginning of a new community. A community that believes in the power of ideas, in creativity, in collaboration, and in the need to share stories that can inspire, motivate, and bring people closer together.
Following the event, the TEDxArta team has compiled and is sharing the day’s photos so that everyone who participated can relive the moments that made the 1st TEDxArta special.
The official TEDxArta talks will be published on the official TED channel after the approval process is complete, in accordance with the organization’s established procedures.
The first TEDxArta has concluded, but the ideas shared have only just begun their journey.
